I have two computers with WinXP SE. I like a dummie purchased a CD of OpenOffice, thinking it was from OpenOffice,org. (Thats another story) I installed OpenOffice from the CD on #1 computer. Everything fine. Second computer. Tried to install from same CD and part of the way with Installation Wizard, it would stop and I would get the following error message.
Error 1335, The cabinet file 'openofficeorg2.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from CD-ROM or a problem with this package. I have three buttons Abort Retry Ignore I have since downloaded a copy of the program from OpenOffice.org and when I try to install it, I get the same error message. I have installed several other software programs with no problems. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem? Thanks Ruth
