i try to download your software and it gets about half way through and then i have a NSIS ERROR dialog box that appears that says::the installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. this could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus. you may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. it may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED). PLEASE tell me what i should do or send me another copy of this software so that i may have it.. thank you sara bliss
From another poster on this list :
"It is likely that the error is being cause by your Antivirus (AV) software believing that the downloaded file is corrupt/virused. You could do one of three things: 1. Turn off your AV software while you download and install the software; don't forget to turn it on again. 2. Order the software on CD from the OO web site; you'll probably have to pay about USD 10 just for the cost of the CD plus P&P. 3. Look at the computer magazines in your local newsagent. These often come with CDs/DVDs which often have OpenOffice on them. Make sure you buy a Windows magazine if you are using Windows (which, from the symtoms you describe, I assume you are)." /paul **************************************
