Hi,
Since it seems that you have internet connection, 
go to here: http://www.openoffice.org/

There's a big button there that says "Download.." click that. Then choose a 
location in your computer where it will be saved. (Desktop is a good choice for 
ease of finding later). Then after the download is finished, install it by 
double-clicking what you have downloaded. Voila! OpenOffice.org is ready for 
your first document.
