Unlike some other office software offerings, OOo (OpenOffice.org) is a complete integrated office productivity suite, not a number of separate programs bundled together. During the installation you can select to only install individual components (eg. Impress). However, this is definitely not recommended, because each component provides some functionality for other components and you would very quickly be writing back here complaining that something or other doesn't work for you. If you choose this option, you will find the savings, in terms of memory usage and disk space, are negligible. Downloading OOo will not take up all your memory and unless you have an extremely small amount of memory and/or disk space you should not have any problems installing and running OOo.
