Not in terms of space, but if you don't really need to particularly install OpenOffice onto a computer (if say, the person really likes MS Office, or if you are just leasing a computer for a presentation), you may be interested in http://portableapps.com/apps/office/openoffice_portable Just download that to a jump drive, and you're ready to go for any computer with a USB port.
