Hey All,
I have used OpenOffice.org for a long time on Windows and Linux and
really like it. This particular question is about the Windows version
2.2.1. I would like to save an Office XP Excel spreadsheet to an
Office 03 xml spreadsheet. I have a JRE (Sun Microsystems Inc. -
1.6.0_01) installed and enabled, but it sits for a bit saying that
it's saving and then throws an error:
Error saving the document <document name here>:
Write Error.
The file could not be written.
I have tried saving as an ods and then going to the Office 03 xml but
still no luck. Is this a known bug or is there something wrong with my
setup?
I've just tried to replicate and cannot. Both saving as word XML 2003 and
excel XML 2003 format works ok for me - no error message reported.
What OS are you using for which this error message occurs? Is it a network
that your trying to save to?
