Alternatively, if you can live without the Italian GUI, I *think* you can set up different templates with different default styles for spelling etch. I don't think that can handle dates (mm/dd in US, dd/mm in Italy and GB) decimal points (dot versus comma) and thousand separators so perhaps the first idea is better ... Yes you have to restart the program but it does free up a lot of space on your disk. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hello Harold, Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately I think it won't work. Maybe if I explain the reason of my strange "requirement" someone will find out that there is a simple workaround... I give a hand writing the user guide (1) as well as translating them into Italian (2); furthermore OOo is my choice of Office application suite (3). By default I would like to have (3). This is fairly heavily customized I have rearranged toolbars, created colours, macros, autotext entries, autocorrect, extended the dictionary, installed extensions, changed the icons set, highlighting colours, fonts, ... For use (1) and (2) however I need the program in "pristine" conditions. Everything has to be the default so that I know where the menu options are located and the screenshots are usable. I also really need the localized GUI to know what the name of dialogs, menu entries etc... are. During the course of the same day I may use configuration (3) and (1) or (3) and (2) *never simultaneously of course* therefore my idea was to create three sets of program launchers in my main menu allowing me to pick the configuration I want to use on the fly. I think that Mathias' proposal would be exactly what I need... if I could make it work. I searched the wiki for help with the -env switch but without much luck. Cheers, Michele
