OpenOffice.org will export a document to the PDF format, but it
saves in a different file format (.odt). Adobe will read the PDF
format produced by OOo, but Adobe can not read the .odt format. To
create a file that Adobe will read you must export it:
File > Export and select the File format as PDF.
