Hi Robin

At present there is no medical dictionary available for OpenOffice.org
and I know of no commercial dictionary which will work with OOo.
Some colleagues and I are in the process of developing one -
non-commercial, of course. At this stage it is for Australian English,
but a rough conversion to US (I presume) usage is not difficult with a
search and replace. I can let you have a copy of our list, it is about
5500 words at this stage.

Have a look at http://www.justlocal.com.au/clients/oooau/
In particular
http://www.justlocal.com.au/clients/oooau/#Convert_custom_dictionary_to_a_list_of_words_
 may be helpful.

I hope this helps a bit. We are looking for volunteers to help us
collect words, if you could assist there, it would be great.

Regards

Russell
