Which is a redirect (currently) to:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.1/index.html

You can make that link even shorter simply by:
http://download.openoffice.org/

I guess I'm confused as to the relevance of
http://download.openoffice.org/stable.html
The OOo website is so cluttered and broken now with remnants of old
pages and out of date links that adding another for 'stable.html' seems
silly. As an example, have a look at the FAQ page (once you find it as a
new user):

http://support.openoffice.org/index.html
 http://user-faq.openoffice.org/

The first link is:
http://user-faq.openoffice.org/mission.html
click it and you get:
<quote>
Mission Statement

User Support Project addresses the obvious need for a project dedicated
to facilitating [email protected] discussions and capturing the
knowledge generated there. For now, the project is just starting but
more will be added to this space as we have more people join.
</quote>
I've no idea what that is about, but now try to find your way (easily)
back to http://user-faq.openoffice.org/. Found it? If you did you used
your 'back' button.

Now click on:
"The FAQ Collaboration <--- This is the newest set!"
Try and find your way back to: http://user-faq.openoffice.org/

The site link problems go on, and on, and on, and on... So instead of
creating another useless "http://download.openoffice.org/stable.html";
just use http://download.openoffice.org/. That link already shows the
current stable version. Please don't encourage and/or add more useless
links to the already complicated OOo website.
