Your ISP may disconnect you after this amount of time, or there may be line noise, or you may be running out of disk space where OO is downloading to. You can order OO on CD for minimal cost at http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/index.html#cdrom , or see if you know anyone with a faster connection and a CD burner that could help you out. I don't know of anywhere to download it in parts, but someone else may know of something. soffice.bin is not supposed to always crash. Please provide details on when/how it crashes and what Operating System you are using.
