If the company/person need JPGfor some reason (like compatibility of some

XCF is a great format if you ask me, but how do you convert an ODF or MS
Office file to XCF? Maybe first converting to BMP, then editing with GIMP if
necessary, then saving as XCF. Then the BMP can be deleted.

The virtual printer "FinePrint", that I mentioned earlier, can
save the "printed" file as BMP. Maybe someone know about an Open Source
program for doing this? I would love to have this option in Linux.

Perhaps you missed what I was replying to?

My reply was:

That is an open source free *linux* program that will do what _johnny
Anderson_ was asking about, and more. It will also easily convert PDF to
jpg etc.

As for the OP/John Emerson; the program that he has ("PDF-Convert") will
already convert PDF to jpg, all he needs to do from OOo is e>

xport as PDF
and then use the "PDF-Convert" program to convert the PDF to a jpg. He
just needs to read the "PDF-Convert" software directions...

You beat me to this response.

ImageMagick can also be run in Windows if you are inclined.
