Harold, Not sure if this is what you want to do - but I can group the text box *and* the rectangle by this : Assume that the text box is entered first (this is not relevant....) It's strange. About 75% of the time selecting the text box, holding down the Shift key and then selecting the rectangle does *not* work; instead the result is that only the last thing selected stays selected and the Group command is not available.
