Scribus is very compatible with Ubuntu. From a terminal window: sudo apt-get install scribus or on the toolbar: System|Administration|Synaptic Package Manager|Search Scribus right click on Scribus and mark for installation, apply. If you've followed this thread you'll know that some of us are wanting to know what exactly you use Publisher for.
