A previous message referred to speeding up the opening process of
openoffice by using quick start.
the only reference in help that I could find refereed to starting
from the command line and said that it was only recommended for
experienced users which I am not!
Is there any easy way to do this?
I have just downloaded openoffice and am running it on a Mac OS X.4
with X11
A few other questions please
Is there anyway to change the default number of worksheets that are
loaded with a new spreadsheet?
I would like to link openoffice to my mac Address-book but do not
know what sort of database it is so cannot complete the wizard questions
When I use help ( which I need to do all the time at the moment) it
tends to stick and the only way I can proceed is to exit openoffice
by Force quit Also the whole programme seems rather slow - is this
something to do with a mac? There is still plenty of spare space on
the disc.
I too would like to-get rid of the panel which appears when X11
starts but the procedure suggested in an earlier message did not work
for me. the message that appears is - the name of my computer then "fin$
Sorry for so many questions and I really appreciate you lovely people
who take so much time to respond to these questions.
thank you
