Does OOo support pie charts yet? I think that this will not be
available until OOo version 2.3, which is already available as an
"unstable" release so testers can find the bugs and they can be fixed.
In other words, ready in the next month or two (which probably does
not help you now).
OO 2.2.1 on Win XP Pro seems to support pie charts.
In Calc, select the data range; click Insert>Chart; set the title etc.
and choose pie chart from the list of available types; click Next and
follow your nose till you get a button labelled "Create"; click it and
the chart will be created. Now *right click* the chart (or choose while
it has its green "handles" showing and choose Copy. Go to the other
document and choose Edit>Paste from its menu. Bingo. To move the chart
within the sheet, just drag it while it has its green "handles" showing.
To get the green handles to show if they are not, just click in the
chart. To stop them showing, click outside the chart.
