Ah... no fair - you guys are working with modern machinery :-)

OOo 2.2.1 linux, 450Mhz 384MB:
12 minutes 15 seconds
OOo 2.3dev linux, same machine:
11 minutes 10 seconds

I also tried later on a 2.2Ghz 512MB machine:
OOo 2.2.1 windows
10 minutes 42 seconds

MS Excel 2003
Gets a VBA error & corrects saved file is only 18MB vs 24.5MB so I think
that it may strip out a bunch of macro info.
Original file opening to vba error notice: 33 sec including my click
time to tell it to repair the file.
Saved file opening time: 5 seconds.

OOo 2.2.1 windows - using the repaired 18MB saved .xls file
10 minutes 48 seconds
OOo 2.2.0 linux (Ubuntu'ized version I don't have 2.2.1 OOo official on
that machine)
9 minutes 37 seconds

That said... I'm sure glad I don't need to fill out an Indian tax IT4
tax return :-)
