If it requires changing anything on the Collabnet part of things, then it is impossible to do. OTOH, it would take about an hour to configure a procmail script to send a message to unsubscribed users stating that their message was sent to a mailing list that is publicly archived on several places on the Internet, and they probably will miss answers if they aren't subscribed to the list.
