In addition to Fank's reply. If you have a slow or limited Internet
connection, you can obtain OOo (OpenOffice.org) on CD from one of the
suggested distributors listed here:
http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom
There would be a small charge (something around US$10) for the CD.
Alternatively, many computer magazines include OOo on their cover
CD/DVD. If you choose either of these options, try get the latest
version of OOo which is 2.2.1

If you have a friend/relative with a high speed connection, you could
ask them to download OOo and burn it onto CD for you.
