Hi, Philllip. Or Phillip. Or Bruce.

Check Tools->Options->Language Settings->Writing Aids and Tools->AutoCorrect I usually turn off _all_ of these "helpful" features in all programs I use.

HTH,
Donald.

Some are more bothersome than others. This is not a negative feedback, I
appreciate your efforts. Some of these things may have remedies that I'm not
aware of. If so please inform a struggling record keeper. I had microsoft excel
on my first computer. Then I bought a new Dell and it was not included. In
working with a tech on set-up, he informed me about Open Office. He told me
that you originally came up with the office program that Microsoft promptly
STOLE, added their touchs and called it Microsoft Office, is this true? I HATE
A THIEF !!!
1) some cells in the program refuse to be re-formatted ie when I try to delete
existing lower case text from some (only some) cells and re-type in upper case,
as soon as I move from the cell it reverts back to lower case ??? I've tried
several different cell formats with no luck
2) why is there no "Bold" cell outline option box ?
3) why does the previous text that appears when you type something similar in a
cell, require that you enter a delete command instead of just disapearing after
you are finished typing. Example: I enter work start time of 7:45 for today and
it will automatically enter 7:45-4:45 from the last similar entry, unless I hit
delete after I type 7:45 and before I leave the cell ? This one is a BIG pain.
Is there someting I can format ?

Hope this input is of some value to your efforts to enable everyone to take
advantage of a good office program.
