Documents that you write using OpenOffice are your own to do with as you choose.

If you decide to re-write or add to the OpenOffice programs themselves, and
subsequently distribute your changed version, the program licensing comes into
play.  If you re-write or add to the OpenOffice programs themselves but do not
distribute your changed version, then the program licensing does not come into
play.
