What can be done? The fact that say your computer had a virus suggests that you are running Windows, but you did not say which version. Here are Microsoft's instructions for changing file associations on Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859 If you are using another version of Windows, search the Microsoft knowledge base, which is linked from that page.
