The WriterTools extension (http://code.google.com/p/writertools/) includes a Remote Backup tool. This tool uses FTP to save your OpenOffice.org file directly to an FTP server. I haven't actually done it myself, but you should be able to save an HTML file edited in Writer directly to your Web site.
If you try this, make sure you read the WriterTools user guide (http://nothickmanuals.info/doku.php/writertools) for instructions on setting up the tool to recognize your FTP server address. You'll need to know the server address, your login name and password, and the path to the directory where you want to put the file. >>> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 8/21/2007 7:01 AM >>> On Tuesday 21 August 2007 08:10:45 Aderet White wrote: > So in answer to your question as to how I normally publish my > webpages to my website, I send them to someone else who does it > for me. I'm so hoping you can tell me I can do it myself :) Yes you can with a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client. Do you understand what FTP is and how to use a FTP client? -- http://24.197.142.167/ See the OpenOffice.org FAQ Microsoft users go to http://www.pclinuxos.com for a great user friendly Linux experience! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
