The ISO standard file format for text documents is Open Document Text or ODT, which is one of the file types specified in the Open Document Format (ODF). There are several applications that support ISO standard ODF files, but Microsoft refuses to, as they'd lose user lock in. So, if you want someone using MS Office to be able to read your file, you have to save it in .DOC format. While ODT is the default file format in Writer, you can save in Word (.DOC) format. If you do that a lot, you can even make .DOC your default format. -- Use OpenOffice.org <http://www.openoffice.org> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
