If you already have version 2.2.1 installed then you have the bug fix installed. The announcement on the web site is saying that version 2.2.1 IS the bug fix. This is for anyone who did not install it yet. Open Office, as far as I know, releases only complete versions. If they make a change there will be a new version with a new number. This also applies to any other software company I know of.

availability of OpenOffice.org Release 2.2.1. This is a minor bug
fix release - full details of the changes can be found in the
release notes, but it fixes security vulnerabilities, and we
recommend that all users should download it now and I clicked on
Release Notes and I saw----List of integrated child workspaces but
when I clicked on those,I saw----Your session is outdated. Please
logon first. The page you requested will automatically be loaded
afterwards and saw Reload and I clicked on reload then I saw a
small window where user name and password were wanted and I put
user name and password of openoffice which I got after
registration but that window always is showing An error occurred
    during password verification!

If you are just trying to download the new version of OpenOffice
    go to
Home on the OpenOffice.org menu, click on the green box, then
    click on
the green box on the next screen, pick the correct operating
    system, and
you should just be able to follow instructions. You have apparently
gotten into a place you don't need to be. OpenOffice does not
    require a
password for you to download the software.
