I *knew* that I'd opened Northwind.mdb in OOo Base linux... drove me nuts trying to figure it out. I tried on 2 different systems - one version of 2.2.1 even shows the ability to open 'mdb' so I must have tinkered with that one previouly. New installs of 2.2.1 and 2.3rc1(M3) don't have that option. So... I finally checked another system that has the Ubuntu'ized version of 2.2.0 on it (openoffice.org 2.2.0-1ubuntu4), and lo and behold - open database shows 'Microsoft Access', and sure enough, the db opens just fine. It even saves it as an .odb before it opens it initially. Man I sure wish that the distro versions would put up their changes as extentions or something... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
