Robert -- please reply only to [email protected] -- • You can wait for the Aqua native Mac version of OOo • Use a as yet unfinished Alpha (or Beta) version of the Aqua-Mac-OOo http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/aqua.html • While waiting for a stable Aqua-OOo, you can use NeoOffice, a fork of OOo that already works stable without X11. http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php • I think X11 (version 1.1.3 - XFree86 4.4.0) can also be downloaded for free from the XFree86 site: http://www.xfree86.org/releases/rel440.html please read the information provided there (I haven't time to go through that right now for you) • But maybe the simpliest way -if it works, which I don't know- is that I send you the X11 file off list and you put it into Applications/Auxiliaries (where you also have Terminal, Java etc.) It's 868 KB.
