Hello Guy, Officially, versions of OpenOffice.org for Panther (OS X 10.3.x) stopped with OOo 2.1 (although I've seen messages saying 2.2.1 would be the last to run on Panther (see Maho, 17 July on mac list). see: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11-103.html So I'm afraid a version 2.3 (not yet a stable release - did you get it from good-day?) won't run on your G4 with Panther. Solutions are: • make a Linux partition on your G4 and run a Linux PPC version of OOo 2.3 • upgrade Panther to Tiger • stick to v 2.2.1 (or 2.1) • NeoOffice (not my favorites...) I suppose that for Panther you'll always need to use the X11 windowing program (the Panther version is available from the Apple website - check that it's for Panther 10.3.x!). The Aqua version of OOo will probably be build only for Tiger (PPC and Intel versions).
