save files. Old versions of OpenOffice used a slightly different format to
save files.
Therefore, you won't be able to open an ODF file with OpenOffice 1.1. However,
you can easily install OpenOffice 2.3 and use both your old and new files with
that.
Of course if she has to use v1.x on an older computer, she can install
v1.1.5, which can read, but not write ODF files or v2.3 can save in the
old format.
