What is the name of the file you downloaded? Is it
OOo_2.3.0_Win32Intel_install_en-US.exe? If not you have downloaded the
wrong file, and you will need to download it again. If possible download
it to your Desktop. When the download is complete, double click the file's
icon on the Desktop. It will then create a folder on the desktop
containing the installation files. Finally it will begin the installation
process itself. After that is finished, look in Start > All Programs for
the OpenOffice.org folder (probably near the bottom of the list.) Within
that folder are the individual components of OOo. Click the one you want
to use.
