Hello Robert, Not sure what goed wrong... the X11 seems OK (same answer to X -version as mine. So maybe it's indeed the version of OOo you downloaded? It should be something like: OOo_2.2.1_MacOSXIntel_install_en-US.dmg from here: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11-104-Intel.html
Maybe drag the OOo folder from Applications to the trash and download anew.
