I have downloaded your free Open Office to my new iMac OSX - Intel -
but when I go to open a document on my desktop that I have moved over
from my G-4 Mac, nothing happens for perhaps a minute and then I'm
told 'COMMAND TIMED OUT. I do have one icon on the desk top that just
says City not City.doc and that opens but none of those .doc's will.
One of those .doc's is the entire manuscript of the book on which I
am working and as it is now I can't access it. That's a huge problem!
Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac was installed with my iMac but I took the
program out of Applications, put it in the Trash and then emptied the
trash before I downloaded OpenOffice.
I anxiously await your response and I thank you in advance for it. In
