Doesn't SeaMonkey give you the option to highlight some text and click "Reply" or "Reply to List" and have only that selected text sucked into the new message? If it doesn't, then it's high time. Yes, I admit that I too occasionally forget to trim. So do other people who normally edit replies properly. At least we have the grace to be embarrassed about it and to try not to repeat for a while. That's important when there are thousands of members and contributors. It's like having a**holes in vehicles on the streets of a big city. With a million people driving, there's already plenty of opportunity for bad things to happen just because the sheer volume ensures that at least some will be inattentive at any given moment, or get stung by a bee, or drop their hot coffee in their laps, or have a relationship break up via cellphone. With a guaranteed statistical minimum number of people screwing up all around us each day as we commute, we really don't need people adding to the problem because of malice or contempt. The same applies to a lesser degree on a mailing list with thousands of participants - we don't need people who won't at least try to be courteous Bring back crucifixion. Flogging, too... flogging's good. :-) Kevin (getting light-headed from the altitude up here on the soap-box) The information contained in this electronic mail transmission may be privileged and confidential, and therefore, protected from disclosure.
