Open terminal window and browse to the RPMS folder containing all fo
the *.rpm files. You will need to become root if you have not already done
so.
(To become root in a terminal window, type the command
su
on the command line and <Enter>. You will be prompted for a password, so
enter your root password.)
If you have a version that came with Red Hat 9, remove it first.
To install the rpm files type this command in the terminal window:
rpm -ivh *.rpm
and the rpm program will install the rpm files in the correct order. Then
browse to the desktop-integration subfolder:
cd desktop-integration
Then enter the command:
rpm -ivh openoffice.org-redhat-menus-2.3-9215.noarch.rpm.
