I have downloaded OpenOffice 2.3 using Firefox and put in on my HD.
I have an up-to-date X11 and Mac OSX 10.4.10
When I open O.O. I get a message that says Command Timed Out, The
software appears to open if I say OK or closes immediately of I
cancel. If I cancel and keep the program open, the software just
sits there with no access to anything. I have looked at the
downloading FAQ but must could have overlooked something, but I am
trying to stick with this and resolve the problems I am having (my
other half would have given up by now but I am made of sterner stuff
I'm a Mac user.....)
I am truly sorry to resort to the wimps way out by emailing the big
guys (girls) but perhaps you can tell me exactly which thing I am
doing wrong so I can become an upstanding member of the Open Office
community %-(
