To whom it may concern,
I was informed by our current treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 562 that I
would be able to download a free copy of Excel. This is currently
the program
used to keep track of the scout finances and accounts. I have not
been able to
find this Free Excel download that I was told about. Can you help me? I will
be taking over for the current treasurer therefor I need to get Excel ASAP.
Excel is a MicroSoft product and comes as part of MicroSoft
Office. Maybe there's a special deal for Boy Scouts, but most people
pay a lot of money for MS Office and it isn't even close to being
free...unlike OpenOffice.org, which is free and includes a
spreadsheet compatible with Excel files...called "Calc". If you want
Calc and the rest of the free Open Office suite, go to
http://www.openoffice.org/ I suspect that you were told to get Calc,
not Excel...
