Hi:
Some research suggests this problem has come up before, but I have
yet to see an actual solution for it.
I'm running OOo 2.2.1 on Linux x86, 2.6.22.
When I try to import a new template using the template organizer from
the File menu, OOo throws an error dialog which says:
"Error copying template "[path/to/template/file.ott]" A template with
that name may already exist."
Possible, but unlikely -- all of the templates in that directory are the
default templates. I have a bunch of custom templates installed, but
they are all in my .ooo2.0 directory.
It also doesn't quite explain why, when I try to import an actual
template file (.ott) it doesn't work, but when I import a regular file
(.odt) the import works fine.
Have a look in Tools-Options-Paths-Templates

Thanks, though. I've filed this as a bug.

Is this the plain vanilla OOo from www.openoffice.org or a
distro-modified version? Is it worth trying 2.3 in case it has been
corrected already?
