Did you buy it from here? http://www.officebestdeal.com/ using the Google Checkout payment link: <https://checkout.google.com/view/buy?o=shoppingcart&shoppingcart=631017687749041> that shows: Order Details - HOTSALES, 800 000-0000, HOTSALES, Philadelphia, PA 19107 US Qty Item Price 1 OPAL OFFICE - Instant Download - $11.95 Tax : -- Subtotal: $11.95 If so, then make a complaint directly to Google. See: https://checkout.google.com/termsOfService?type=Buyer#US http://checkout.google.com/support/bin/request.py [check "Other" Other I have a problem with my order] Also, take a look at your credit card statement to find out where the billing went to. There is *no* HOTSALES, officebestdeals, or bestofficedeals, or facsimiles thereof registered to do business in the state of Pennsylvania. You'll find that this same outfit also sold a version of 2.1 using the domain name of http://bestdealoffice.com/ and from the looks of it, they had their Paypal account removed. Notice that the website template is exactly the same as the officebestdeal.com template, they've only changed the name from OpenOffice to OpalOffice. BTW: You never did tell us who you managed to find this list email address; did the seller give it to you as part of their 'support' or did you find it via some other means? Can you also provide a link to where you downloaded the program from after paying for it? However, also note that the sellers may be selling OpenOffice legally per the OOo license agreements. Simply because someone rebundles OOo and resells it doesn't mean that it is illegal, and in many cases valid resellers provide a valuable service by providing OOo on CD whereby users that do not have a broadband connection do not wish to spend hours downloading via dialup, provide on-going support, tutorials etc. When they provide a download link & charge for it, and then do not provide value added support etc., *then* I think that they are unethical. In any event, it appears that this issue is a situation between you and the seller. If you can provide the additional answers above, then perhaps folks on this list can further advise you on how to report and resolve the situation. In the meantime, download OOo for free from the links provided by other OOo users & let us know if that works for you. cc'd to: raskob1<at>cox.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
