The version is one provided by Novell/OpenSUSE. I see slight differences, for instance the drop-down menu under "insert" has no icon against "hyperlink". I've now tried OOo under XP and spotted where I think the problem *may* lie. In the particular hyperlink, the failure occurs at the same point as where, in my trial on XP, predictive typing begins - typing "m" yields "mirror" - but this doesn't explain why it didn't fail on other hyperlinks. I'll raise this problem on a Novell newsgroup but they may say the problem could be associated with the Linux version of OOo and not with any modifications they've made.
