I just tried inserting your offending hyperlink using the Linux version
of OOo 2.3.0 from the OOo web site. First, I copy and pasted the hyperlink
from your email. Secondly, I wrote the hyperlink out. Thirdly, I inserted
the hyperlink by using Insert > Hyperlink. I was able to access the ftp
site by Control+click using all three hyperlinks. My conclusion is that
the problem did not originate with the Linux version from the OOo web
site.
