You can switch to Linux free now.
Since you and I are not that far apart and I have to come that way
often to support customers I can drop a copy of PCLinuxOS off. It
runs from your CD-ROM drive so you can test drive it before actually
installing it. If you want the CD drop me a private e-mail with an
address where I can drop it.
I know I can get linux no charge and have had it but never got used
to using it. I appreciate your help but am not ready to reorient
myself to linux yet. Sometimes it's easier for me just to use what I
know how to use. Thanks a lot, though.
Moving from W2K to Vista could be harder than moving to Linux. At
least from the reviews that I keep reading. But that is another debate.
I do understand what you are saying.
I am not expecting ever to move to a new version of Windows unless
someone else pays for it, and only then if there is some other reason to
do so.
