I am using version 2.3 of OpenOffice.org.

I work for a mayor belgian company, having applroximately 35.000
employees. We are considering using OpenOffice
for certain parts of the company. But one of the requirements is that
the MS Office docs can be opened in Internet
Explorer using OpenOffice. For files with *.odt extention the provided
ActiveX works wonderfull, but when opening
MS Office docs like *.doc, *.xls, *.ppt from within IE, I get prompt
with a download dialog box.
Is there any possibility to have this opened like the *.odt files in IE?
This is more of a Windows file association problem than OpenOffice. Are
the file associations set to use OpenOffice as the default application
for Microsoft Office files?
Please post replies to the mail list ([email protected]) and not
directly to me.
