No KWord in KOffice can extract the information from a PDF file. So can adobe's acrobat reader and some other applications that can read PDF files. KWord opens the PDF file and dumps all the contents into a new document that when saved is saved in a .odt file format. What could be done is that .odt file can be opened in OpenOffice.org and then exported back to the same name as the original PDF file. This would have the appearance of editing the file. The point as I was trying to make in my earlier post is that PDF files are not secure from being copied and the information being easy to extract and use. People think they can send PDF files so people can't alter their content. With KOffice and OpenOffice.org you can do so very easy and make it look like the original file. -- http://24.197.142.167/~jack/openofficefaq.php Read the OpenOffice.org FAQ Microsoft users go to http://www.pclinuxos.com for a great user friendly Linux experience! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
