1. As some of you suggested, writing a number by placing a '0' at the end :
eg., instead of writing it as 24.9 write it as 24.90 and it works. Doesn't
change it to date format.
2. As Maria suggested, use comma (,) instead of  dot (.) .

Hopefuly there could be some more generic solution.
