Thanks for that link--I'm really impressed that this was tracked down and fixed already.
However, I found the description of the cause of the problem troubling: how can time zone calculations interfere with the entry of a date?
As far as I can tell, Calc does not do any conversion of the date (or time) as entered--all date/time values in Calc are stored and displayed as local time.
