Set the language appropriately in Tools -} Options -} Language Settings
-} Languages. Press F11. Select the "Default" paragraph style,
right-click, select "Modify", and make sure that the language is also
properly selected under Fonts there also. You may have to do this with
other styles you are using in your document. OOo Writer allows different
stytles to have differently language settings.
