Open Office is compatible with M$Word, but M$Word is not comp[atible
with Open Office because the nitwits at M$ refuse to recognize the
International Standard .odt files. You will have to do SaveAs and select
one of the M$Word formats to save your documents in. Then M$Word users
will be able to read them.
