I haven't tried JBDC- I looked at it last nite an honestly I couldn't see
how to install it on a windows system. I've never used JBDC before it would
take me awhile to figure it out.

Haven't heard of any problems like this, but then not a lot of folks that
I know of using 5.1 yet.
If you try to connect with JDBC instead of ODBC does it make a difference?
