Well, 3 different downloads later, I have learned that:
1. There are some very nice little utilities out there that can remap almost
everything on a Windows keyboards.
2. "Almost" does not appear to include the AltGr function. I wrote off to
one of the authors, and he simply has never heard of that key.
Oh, well!

Alrighty, great suggestion, I searched a wee bit and found KeyTweak, Windows
keyboard remapper, freeware available at:
http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?download=1&ID=1698
Just installed and opened it, looks quite straightforward to use, as long as
it's not buggy. (No time yet to test that out. :):)
Thanks!

Most standard US style 104/5 keyboards do not have this labeled as AltGR
and are only labeled as "Alt" - including my US/Japanese International
keyboard. In fact, I've never seen an Alt GR key on any of my keyboards,
laptops included (since 197x) so perhaps it is a European/Latin America
thing. However, most operating systems can reprogram the right alt key
(and most others) to whatever you want them to be.
No idea... I seldom run Windows. However, Google probably will result in
some info. Try Windows XP +international keyboard
On Windows you can set the keyboard to US International. The right Alt
key will then have the AltGr function. See
