We are about to start a small local based pc repair and service company

Open Office onto customers PCs???. We would not be charging for the install
and supply of your product, but would also make the customer aware that if
they where to use Open Office on a regular basis that it would be an idea to
donate. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are free to do that. You can pass it on to as many people as you wish, without restriction. However, you should ask your customer's permission first, if you're installing on systems that have been brought in for repair. You might also want to install other open source software, such as Firefox and Thunderbird. You didn't mention if you have a "walk in" store. If so, you may want to put up some signs or leave CD's on the counter. Perhaps you could also offer Linux.
